Syntax

SUBSTITUTE(text_to_search, search_for, replace_with, [occurrence_number])

Arguments

The printed syntax lists 4 argument(s), in order:

  • text_to_search
  • search_for
  • replace_with
  • ccurrence_numbe optional

“optional” marks an argument Google prints in square brackets; “repeatable” marks one Google prints with “…”.
